Rental Rates Include:
Free transfers on vehicle pick up from Airport or City to the United Campervans Depot - Unlimited Kilometres - Goods & Services Tax (GST) of 12.5% - Standard United Campervans Vehicle Insurance - Road User Charge/Diesel Tax - Cleaning fees and pre departure vehicle preparation - One Way fees - Extra Driver fee - Vehicle living equipment - Road Maps, Camping Park Directories and other tourist information - 640 page New Zealand Travel Guide including United vehicle operation manual - Supermarket discount card - 24 hour roadside assistance throughout New Zealand

Rates/Minimum Hire Periods:
* Rates are per day in NZ$ and include unlimited kilometres & GST (New Zealand Government Tax)
* The minimum hire period is 7 days

Drivers/Licences
All drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation.

Depots/Pickup Points
Depots: Auckland, Christchurch
No extra charge to pick up at one depot and drop off at another if hire is a minimum of 14 days.

Transfers/Pickups
United uses taxis and shuttles for transfers as it provides greater flexibility for the hirer. The transfer on vehicle pick up is complimentary. The transfer at the end of the hire is at the cost of the hirer, with the exception of Auckland drop offs, where a complimentary transfer is available on the Airbus.

INSURANCE
Standard Insurance
Basic insurance is included in the daily rate. This provides cover for damage to your hire vehicle, third party property and public liability to NZ$5,000,000. The hirer is liable for the first NZ$5,000 of any damage caused in any one accident. The hirer will be fully liable for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens and tyres.

Bond
All hirers are subject to a bond of NZ$5000 payable at the commencement of hire. This bond is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned on the due date at the agreed drop off depot in a clean and undamaged condition, with a full tank of fuel and an empty toilet cassette. The hirer is fully liable for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens or tyres. It is Company policy to take deduct the bond from the hirers credit card. United Vehicle Rentals will not be responsible for any losses incurred due to interest charges or currency fluctuations.

Bond Waiver Insurance
We offer 2 Bond Waiver insurance options. Option 1: Payment of NZ$20 per day (maximum NZ$1200 for any one hire) reduces the bond/excess to NZ$1200 (NZ$2400 for drivers under 25 years). If a Credit card is used as the method of payment then an imprint only is taken. The hirer is fully liable for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens or tyres. The bond is fully refundable if the vehicle is returned on the due date at the agreed drop off depot in a clean and undamaged condition, with a full tank of fuel and an empty toilet cassette.
Option 2: Payment of NZ$32 per day (maximum NZ$1920 for any one hire) (or NZ$44 per day for hirers under the age of 25 - maximum NZ$2640) will reduce the bond/excess to zero.This option is only available on hires of 10 days or more. The hirer is not liable for damage to the vehicle or third party property, or for the repair or replacement of damaged windscreens. Please note: A credit card imprint will still be taken for a fuel and cleaning deposit to a maximum of NZ$150.

All Inclusive Insurance
Comprehensive insurance as detailed in Option 2 of Bond Waiver Insurance (above) is included in the All Inclusive Rates and NO excess applies. This applies to all eligible hirers over 21 years with hires of 7 days or over. However, please note a signed credit card imprint will still be taken for a fuel and cleaning deposit to a maximum of NZ$150.

Insurance Exclusions (applicable to both Standard and All Inclusive Rates)
Tyres and punctures are not covered by insurance and are to be repaired/replaced at hirers cost. The hirer will be fully liable for any damage to the United vehicle or Third Party property if:
- The terms of the rental agreement with United Campervans are breached
- Damage is caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- The vehicle is driven on restricted roads
- Damage is due to careless, wilful or reckless driving
- Negligence, or other act of the hirer results in water submersion or salt water damage

Bicycle hire
- Bicycles are all general purpose models suitable for both road use and moderate off-road conditions.
- Suitable models are available for children.
- Child seats are available and can be fitted on request.
- United 6 and 4 and Alpha 4 berth Motorhomes can carry a maximum of three bicycles.
- United 2 and 2+1 and Alpha 2 berth Motorhomes can carry a maximum of two bicycles.
- A helmet (compulsory in New Zealand), cycle lock and repair kit are supplied with each bicycle.
- All bicycles are insured by United Campervans, however an Excess of NZ$100 per bicycle and bicycle rack will apply to cover loss or damage.
- Any replacements or repairs required due to the fault of the hirer up to the value of NZ$100 per bicycle and/or bicycle rack will be met by the hirer.
- Bicycle hire reservations should be completed at the same time as the vehicle hire in order to avoid disappointment.

On Road Assistance
It is a client obligation to contact United Vehicle Rentals should any problems be experienced with the vehicle. United offer a 24 hour number for On-Road Assistance in case of accidents or breakdowns.

General Conditions
The Company reserve the right to make deductions over and above the bond for any of, or multiples of the following:
There will be no refund for vehicle returns before the due date, or unused rental days.
In the event of mechanical failure or major accident rendering the vehicle unserviceable and no alternative vehicle is available, liability will be to only refund those actual lost rental days.

Deposit
A deposit of 25% of the total hire cost is payable to secure a booking. This is calculated on 25% of the daily hire tarrif times the number of days of the hire. The full balance is required 30 days before the commencement of the hire.

The bond, Compulsory daily insurance, optional insurance waivers and any additional equipment must be paid at the Depot at the commencement of the hire.
