Rates/Minimum Hire Periods:
* Rates are per day in NZ$ and include unlimited kilometres & GST (New Zealand Government Tax)
* The minimum hire period is seven days

Drivers/Licences
All drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence or an International Driving Licence with English translation, or a licence from the country of origin recognised by New Zealand, together with a certified English translation where appropriate. There is no additional charge for extra drivers.

TRANSFERS/VEHICLE PICK UP
On request a courtesy car will pick you up from the airport, ferry or hotel and return you there.

Insurance
Daily insurance is extra and compulsory at NZ$22 per day. This insurance is fully comprehensive and insures against recoverable 3rd party accident damage, theft and break-ins (excluding personal belongings). An excess (bond) of $4500 is applicable. All insurance, Bond and extra hire equipment is payable at commencement of hire.

Bond
All hirers must pay a bond of NZ$4500 at the commencement of hire. This bond is usually taken in the form of a credit card imprint and is cancelled at the end of the hire, providing the vehicle has not been involved in an accident and is returned in a reasonably clean and undamaged condition.

Bond Waiver Insurance
To waive the NZ$4500 damage excess, you can choose to pay a non-refundable damage excess waiver of NZ$19 per day reducing the bond to NZ$2500 for option 1 insurance. Option 2 insurance is available at $35 per day reduces bond to NZ$250. This is on a per accident or incident basis. A new waiver is required for the remaining days of the hire after any accident or damage occurs. A credit card imprint (or cash bond) is still required to cover items other than damage.

Tyre and Windscreen Insurance
Available for $2 per day to protect against all windscreen and tyre damage, when it is not deemed intentional. Multiple incidents are covered. Only available on hires of 7 days or a $14 minimum payment. Maximum charge will be $40.

It is recommended that hirers take out their own travel insurance to cover personal injury, medical costs and personal property.

One Way Hires
Are available for a charge of $180 during the months of October to March. During winter months one way hires are free of charge.

General Conditions
The Company reserve the right to make deductions over and above the bond for any of, or multiples of the following:

Missing or damaged equipment. The vehicle is not returned in a clean condition. The toilet is not emptied and chemically recharged. The fuel tank is not refilled.

There will be no refund for vehicle returns before the due date, or unused rental days.
In the event of mechanical failure or major accident rendering the vehicle unserviceable and no alternative vehicle is available, liability will be to only refund those actual lost rental days.

Hired vehicle operated outside the terms on the rental agreement have no insurance cover and the hirer is liable for the entire cost of damage.

Deposit
A deposit of 15% of the total hire cost is payable to secure a booking. This is calculated on 15% of the daily hire tarrif times the number of days of the hire. The full balance is required 30 days before the commencement of the hire.

The bond, Compulsory daily insurance, optional insurance waivers and any additional equipment must be paid at the Depot at the commencement of the hire.
