ONE-WAY RENTALS
One-way rental Fee of NZ$300 is payable where pick up is between the 1st of October and the 31st of March. This applies to hires from the North Island to the South Island and vice versa. Included in Bonus Pack.

LOCATION FEE PICK UP/DROP OFF FEES
A location fee of NZ$210 applies to all campervans picking up or dropping off in Wellington or Queenstown. If the pick-up and drop off occurs in the same city, only one location fee will apply. One-way rental fees will apply if applicable.

INSURANCE OPTIONS
Standard Insurance
The hirer is liable for the first NZ$7,500 (Excess Liability) of any damage caused in each and every accident/break-in etc. The Excess Liability is taken at the beginning of the hire (If paying by Credit Card the amount will be debited). Reduction options are covered below.

Excess Reduction Option 1
Excess Reduction Option 1 Insurance is an optional extra at a fixed rate of NZ$29 per day (max. NZ$2500). This reduces the Excess Liability to NZ$2,500 of any damage caused in each and every accident (debited). *Exclusions apply, see below.

Excess Reduction Option 2
Excess Reduction Option 2 Insurance is an optional extra at a fixed rate of NZ$45 per day (max. NZ$ 2000).This reduces the Excess Liability to zero for any damage caused in each and every accident. Excess Reduction 2 now also covers accidental damage to overhead and underbody sections of the vehicle and includes unlimited tyre and windscreen cover. A security bond of NZ$220 still applies (imprint). *Exclusions apply, see below.


Britz Bonus Pack
The Britz Bonus Pack component of NZ$65 per day (maximum NZ$3000 per rental) is payable in addition to the daily rental rate.
Inclusions are: Excess Reduction Option 2 (Nil excess), Diesel Tax Recovery fee, PGO (Pre-purchase gas option) Table and chairs (chairs per person travelling), Child/booster seats (as required, must be pre-booked), One way fee (if applicable)

*Exclusions
All insurance cover will be made void if any of the following �Exclusions� are breached:
1. Overhead and underbody damage to the vehicle � except where Option 2 or Bonus Pack has been purchased.
2. Any water related damage including but not limited to: any vehicle submersion; creek or river crossing; driving through flooded areas; beach driving
3. Personal belongings. Maui recommends hirer does not leave valuables in the vehicle and have insurance for the loss/damage of personal belongings.
4. Any damage caused by willful misconduct (e.g. sitting or standing on the bonnet or roof of the vehicle).
5. Single vehicle rollover occurs
6. Any damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
7. The Customer will be liable for any cost associated with the incorrect use of fuel or the use of Bio-Diesel which should not be used (fuel being diesel or petrol), or water or other contamination of fuel.
8. The cost to retrieve or recover a vehicle, which may include, but is not limited to a vehicle that has become bogged, submerged or abandoned
9. The cost to replace keys, which have been lost or retrieval of keys, which have been locked in a vehicle.
10. The vehicle rented may only be used to carry the maximum number of passengers as dictated by the vehicle type. If more passengers are carried than what is allowed Maui does not accept any liability.
11. Drivers not identified on the rental agreement and/or drivers that have a licence that has been cancelled or suspended and/or drivers who have a licence that is classified as a learners or probationary licence.

Bond
Hirers with Standard Insurance must pay a bond of NZ$ 7,500 at the commencement of hire unless one or more of the above options has been taken. Payment must be made prior to the commencement of the hire by credit card. Credit cards will be debited immediately (unless otherwise stated) and refunded at the end of the hire as appropriate. For this reason it is important that the hirer have the funds available on the credit card and that the amount does not exceed the hirer's daily withdrawal allowance available on the credit card.

Clients are advised to take out travel insurance to cover personal injury, medical costs and personal property.

CREDIT CARD FEES FOR FINAL PAYMENT
Credit Card fees are applied to any payments made at the Britz Depot

DIESEL TAX RECOVERY FEE
The Diesel Tax Recovery Fee is included in the Bonus Pack. If the Bonus Pack Option has not been selected the Diesel Tax Recovery Fee will be calculated and collected on return of the vehicle based on the kilometres travelled during the hire.
Britz reserves the right to amend the Diesel Tax Recovery Fee upon Government intervention.
The vehicle rates per 100km are as follows: 4 Berth NZ$4.96

Baby Capsules: Recommended for children newborn to 6 months (approximately)
Baby Seats: Recommended for children 6 months to 3 years or 8 to 18kg (approximately), must be able to support own head in a sitting position.
Booster Seats: Recommended for children: 4 to 7 years or 14 to 26kg (approximately). A booster seat enables a child to use a standard 3-point seatbelt that fits across the chest. Please note that in some motorhomes, the seatbelts in the main cabin are lap belts (i.e. they only come across the lap).

This vehicle can only accommodate the following child safety seats: baby capsules (maximum 2), baby seats or booster seats can be fitted to front passenger seat. For booster seats, if using a lap belt, a chest harness is also supplied to secure the child. Baby seats and Booster seats are available for hire or client can supply their own seats but they must comply with the strict New Zealand child restraint standards.
