ONE-WAY RENTALS
One-way rental Fee of NZ$300 is payable where pick up is between the 1st of October and the 31st of March. This applies to hires from the North Island to the South Island and vice versa. Included in Bonus Pack.

LOCATION FEE PICK UP/DROP OFF FEES
A location fee of NZ$210 applies to all campervans picking up or dropping off in Wellington or Queenstown. If the pick-up and drop off occurs in the same city, only one location fee will apply. One-way rental fees will apply if applicable.

SECURITY DEPOSIT OR REDUCTION OPTIONS

INSURANCE OPTIONS
STANDARD RATE (minimum level of insurance and already included in the quoted rate). Standard rate leaves you still to pay a Security Deposit of NZ$7,500 (Debited and refunded if no claims) or options as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess. (Options are payable at the depot except All Inclusive which should be booked when reserving the vehicle).

Insurance option with Standard Rate:
Excess Reduction 1: NZ$29 per day reduces Security Deposit to NZ$2,500 (Debited).
*Excess Reduction 2: NZ$45 per day reduces Security Deposit to NZ$220 (Credit Card imprint only)

BONUS PACK INSURANCE - FULL INSURANCE PLUS BENEFITS
NZ$65 per day for Bonus Pack Insurance and should be booked when reserving vehicle. - Click under "Model' to choose option
Bonus Pack includes: Excess Reduction Option 2 (Nil excess), Diesel Tax Recovery fee, PGO (Pre-purchase gas option) Table and chairs (chairs per person travelling), Child/booster seats (as required, must be pre-booked), One way fee (if applicable)

CREDIT CARD FEES FOR FINAL PAYMENT
Credit Card fees are applied to any payments made at the Britz Depot

DIESEL TAX RECOVERY FEE
The Diesel Tax Recovery Fee is included in the Bonus Pack. If the Bonus Pack Option has not been selected the Diesel Tax Recovery Fee will be calculated and collected on return of the vehicle based on the kilometres travelled during the hire.
Britz reserves the right to amend the Diesel Tax Recovery Fee upon Government intervention.

For airport transfers, Backpackers operate a courtesy shuttle. Full details will be on your motorhome confirmation.
Queenstown and Wellington Depots do not offer transfers however Queenstown Depot is at the Airport.

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum hire period is 7 days, or 10 days if picking up North Island and dropping off in South Island between October and March. Minimum Hire period from December through January 10 is 10 days

DRIVERS LICENSES
All drivers must be at least 21 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation.

Baby Capsules: Recommended for children newborn to 6 months (approximately)
Baby Seats: Recommended for children 6 months to 3 years or 8 to 18kg (approximately), must be able to support own head in a sitting position.
Booster Seats: Recommended for children: 4 to 7 years or 14 to 26kg (approximately). A booster seat enables a child to use a standard 3-point seatbelt that fits across the chest. Please note that in some motorhomes, the seatbelts in the main cabin are lap belts (i.e. they only come across the lap).

This vehicle can only accommodate the following child safety seats: baby capsules (maximum 2), baby seats or booster seats can be fitted to front passenger seat. For booster seats, if using a lap belt, a chest harness is also supplied to secure the child.
